Blog Training – Save Time and Automate Your Promotional Efforts
Establishing your blog as an authority in your niche can be a daunting prospect.
This is particularly so if you are just starting out. The more authority you have the more people like Google will like you. Remember that Google ranks the pages and posts in your blog and not really your overall blog.
This is good news. Because this means that every blog post or page you write should increase your blogs authority status. So make sure it does. How?
Listed below are a couple of techniques you can use immediately and incorporate into your blog training.
The first is one of the easiest ways to start building your authority. It is to build incoming links through commenting. If you use a plugin called CommentLuv on your blog you will be able to leave comments on related niche blogs that also have
CommentLuv installed.
How do you find blog with this plugin. Easy. Go to Google search engine, and do a search using your keyword and specific operators.
If I was looking for blogs in the ‘Panic Attacks’ niche I would search for
panic attacks & “title=”CommentLuv Enabled”"
or
“Enable CommentLuv” + panic attacks
You should be able to find plenty of results for blogs in the panic attacks niche that have CommentLuv installed.
Ideally you would make at least 10 comments per blog post or page you write. If you make this a habit you will soon start to build your links and, hence, your authority status.
The second tactic that you could use in your blog training and that will also save you hours and hours of blog promotion effort is automating your social network notifications. Social networks give you an opportunity to broadcast your posts to the world. Submitting your notifications one by one is not really feasible in the long term. Try this and I guarantee that sooner rather than later you will give up.
Anyway, here are your set-by-step instructions:
1. Get a free account at http://ping.fm
2. Add Social Networks using Options provided (this is the time consuming bit)
3. Create account on those networks that you are not a member of yet, and
add them to the social network list for Posting
4. Install a new plugin PingPressFM using “Add New” option and activate it
5. Get API Key from ping.fm and add it to the Options of your plugin
using Settings -> PingPressFM
6. Click on “Triggers” and place check for “Trigger Active” for each
posting trigger you want to use.
7. Click “Update Options”
Bingo! That’s all there is to it. Every time you post or create a page on your blog the plugin will send a notification to ping.fm using the triggers you have enabled on your blog which, in turn, will make automated posts to each social network you have added to your list.
This automated system works a treat and, once set up, will grow your popularity without thinking about it.
Every blogger should explore ways to automate the critical functions of a blog without compromising on the quality of the actual posts. Incorporating these simple tactics into your blog training will reap rewards in the long run and, best of all will allow you to concentrate on your content.
All for now.
