Why You Should Rewrite Your PLR Articles
So you’ve got your Private Label Rights (PLR) content. What do you do with it? How do you make the most of it? Search engines know what they are doing – those sneaky buggers scan your pages looking at your content – seeing if you have your own content or have just copied it from somewhere else. Not that there’s too much wrong with that, really. But they do like your original content more than anything and will rewoard you with better rankings.
Search engines have things called algorithms that are impossible to manipulate i=even if you were so inclined. can be difficult to reverse engineer. The actual extent to which you might get penalised for duplicate content is not known but if you have PLR content you really should change it, not just for the search engines but for your customers too – adding your own slant and opinions.
It’s difficult to say how much to change, but as little as 10% could easily put you in the search engine good books. In a 400 word article, that’s 40 words. Modifying content has other advantages. Not least giving your content your own touch and flavour.
When you do that with a number of articles, you are guaranteed to differentiate your site from your competitor. That keeps vistors and customers loyal, because then you are the only one in the world with exactly that content. After all, there are lots of actors in the world, but there’s only one Harrison Ford.
Naturally, you can avoid the duplicate content issue completely by writing every article from yourself. But that’s not always possible, can be time consuming and you simply may not have the ability.
Starting from a nothing is much more difficult. It’s easier to re-write something or to modify a theme. You can change a phrase here or an example there, what’s on the page can give you ideas and helps stimulates alternatives.
Quality is important, too. You may not have the ability or inclination to write good content, content that attracts people and the important backlinks. Even if you are able to, it takes a bit of time to do well. If you rush it, you’ll finish with content that isn’t polished. That can be a ‘put off’. Not good for business.
It’s quicker and easier to adapt good quality content to avoid a duplicate content penalty and do your own than it is to fix up something that is not good to begin with. You can polish good chrome to a shine in a few minutes. If it’s rusty, you’ll spend all day!
PLR content distributors vary. Niche Content Packages, one of the best quality PLR sites online. They hire the best professional writers and provide excellent content that is easy to adapt.
